I
have a broad experience in the field of mental health working with individuals,
couples and groups. I also have experience in NHS Primary Care, rehabilitation
and forensic environments. I have been involved in training and currently
run an established Guided Imagery Group. I have an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Certificate in Counselling Skills and a Diploma in Groupwork. I am the author of '3DTA - an illustrated guide to Transactional Analysis'. |

I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), I am listed on the Register of Practising Members of the Institute of Transactional Analysts (ITA) and the European Association of Transactional Analysts (EATA) as Trainee Transactional Analyst with Psychotherapy Speciality. I am also a member of the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA), the Institute of Developmental Transactional Analysis (IDTA) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As a member of BACP I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Research Counselling and Psychotherapy (where practitioners undertake research) and subject to the Professional Procedure for the time being in force. My approach to therapy is humanistic, based on person centred counselling. The theoretical model I use is Transactional Analysis combined with some Cognitive Behavioural, Gestalt and Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques.
